5 shades of shocking

Looks like Maestra is going to be painting the town red this summer. Literally. And no, we promise there will be no more comparisons to the 50 shades trilogy, because Maestra is a true crime thriller, packed with racy bits here and there.  Fun fact: as we speak, Lisa Hilton is in New York checking out the very first screenplay written for Maestra.

5 reasons you’re going to want to read Maestra this summer:

1.
It’s the most shocking thriller you’ll read all year. Fraud, sex, murder. Need we say more?

2. “Fatal Attraction meets The Talented Mr Ripley. Prepare for this year’s The Girl on the Train.”

3. Nine months before the book was even released, Lisa sold the rights to turn it into a screenplay. NINE MONTHS. If Hollywood is on board, you should be to. And remember, they always say the books are better than the movies, so you might as well read the book first. When we spoke to Lisa back in January we asked whether she had a certain actress in mind for her main character but unfortunately her lips were sealed. So then we gave screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilsons a shot. Same story here. Damn it.

4. If James Bond has a license to kill and a free pass to sleep with whomever he wants, why can’t a female? Although technically she doesn’t have a license to kill. But still, you get the point. If men have been allowed to act shallow, selfish and crudely for centuries, it’s about goddamn time a woman can too. Thank you Lisa.

5. Did we already mention there’s sex. And it’s explicit. We all know you secretly enjoy your fair share of sex scenes.
