5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SHAVING

This is how you get smooth legs

If you’re planning to head out the door with bare legs, I’d recommend you to quickly use a razor on your legs. No one get’s excited from ungroomed legs and simply put, it should be a standard part of your morning ritual on days you know that the sun is going to be out. But there’s always room to make a mistake. So if you spot someone with a bandaid on their ankle, you’ll know exactly what took place in their shower. Therefore, it’s time to introduce you to the golden rules of shaving. These are going to help you walk out the front door with the smoothest legs.

1. Scrub

Make sure to do this thoroughly beforehand. This will make sure your hair follicles are loose which makes it easier to get rid of the hair. Use warm water, because it’ll open your skins pores. But I’m assuming you usually shave your legs under the shower or in a bath.

2. Opposite direction

It’s quick, it’s easy and it’ll give you the smoothest legs. Just make sure you shave in the opposite direction. Except for when you shave your armpits or bikini line. By shaving in the opposite direction on your legs, you get the best result.

3. Change your blades often

No, this isn’t some kind of sales trick. It works. New blades give you a cleaner and smoother surface to work with and you’ll have less irritations and cuts. Some people think cuts happen when your blade is too sharp, but that’s not the case. Another bonus is that new blades makes your skin happier. On average, you’re supposed to switch blades after 10 shaving sessions.

4. Don’t lend it out

Never let someone borrow your razor. Keep it for yourself. That way you’ll avoid irritations (from the razor) and you’ll keep it clean. Also opt for a better, slightly more expensive razor. It’s a shame to buy those razors that just cost a few euro’s because they really don’t as well. Male razors are always a tad bit sharper, cause male hair is thicker. These are useful when you want to get rid of hair on a bigger surface.

5. Foam

Obviously the decision is all yours, but always make sure you use some kind of product. It’ll make your hair softer and so the blade will glide easier on your skin. Oh, and it’ll leave a trail of where you’ve already shaved – how useful.
