7 jobs you didn’t know existed

And now you’re contemplating quitting the one you have now

Let me start this off by saying that I am extremely content with the job that I have and that I’m not going anywhere. But still, sometimes you come across things that make you think: holy sh*t, I want that too, I want that too. So when I came across the list below, for a split second I thought: hmmm, career switch? Kidding May-Britt, kidding. But I’m sure you’ll let me cheat for a day, right?

Celebrity stand-in

I personally believe I should do this for a day. I mean, collect all the celebrity sleaze for you guys first hand? Yes please.

Nail polish name creator

If I could cheat on my current job for a day this would be it. ‘Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!’, ‘Wanted… Red or Alive’, ‘Life is a Cabernet’, ‘Silent Mauvie’, ‘Queen of D’Nile’… Want me to continue? Every time Lilian and I come up with names for her What To Wear This Weekend‘s, we honestly believe we would make a great duo for OPI. So, OPI team, when can we drop by your office for a creative-name-team day? #nailedit.

Professional bridesmaid

I mean, I guess if this is what you’re into. I would dread doing this. Don’t get me wrong, I love weddings. I hope to get married some day. But going from one wedding to another for people you don’t even know… Kinda weird right. But hey, plenty of girls who would kill for this job. It’s safe to say it’s something different than sitting behind a desk all day.

Food scientist

I like to refer to this as ‘Offical Taste Tester’. Did you know that there are people who actually spend their days trying different flavors of ice cream? I hereby would like to state that I’m down to do this for a day. Ben & Jerry, feel free to send over your samples my way. Much appreciated, thanks.

Seat filler

Another perfect job for me, because then I get to experience award shows like the Oscars and Grammy’s first hand. Keeping Leo’s chair warm while he’s off to the little boy’s room? Or Ryan Goslings? Where can I sign up for this?

Food stylist

Another food related job. I don’t mind filling in for someone for a day. Photographing food. And then eating all of it. #winning

Professional sleeper

Taking part in sleep studies? Or trying out new hotel beds? It exists, ladies and gentlemen, it exists. I job where you won’t get fired for sleeping on the job.
