7 WITTY THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT KRIS JENNER
Kris Jenner, who’s full name I recently learnt is Kristen, I’ve known for years. And for years I wasn’t able to decide whether or not I liked her. On the one hand she’s a real mother hen. Four kids with husband number one (mister Kardashian) who she stayed friends with until he passed away and two kids with Caitlyn-formerly-known-as-Bruce-Jenner.
On the other hand, let’s call it special, special that every one of her kids has ended up in the Hollywood spotlight. It’s not that any of them work at a local shoe store or a small printing shop. I have a feeling that Kris told her kids they could be anything they wanted in their lives. Actress, singer, model… Anything.
But you could also call her a loving and caring mother hen who also works as the manager of all of her offspring. And how she supported Bruce during his transition is also something I admire. Time to unearth some facts about Kris. Is she cool, or not? Gold stars for her plus points.
1. Kris can’t live without sunglasses
She says she can’t live without them. Sensitive eyes or such. And it seems to be some kind of Hollywood uniform. Someone once asked Jack Nicholson why he always had his sunglasses on, in restaurants too. “Because, if I’m wearing my sunglasses I’m Jack Nicholson. Without them I’m fat and 79”. I’m sure Kris made note of that. Okay okay, I’m going to go on and give her a gold star for this one.
2. In a past life Kris was a flight attendant
For American Airlines. Only for about a year, but still. Still that caring mentality, she already had that in her. Working is good for you so kudos’ to Kris. Gold star.
3. Kris started a church
Yes, this took some time to wrap my head around, but it’s true. Back in 2012, together with pastor Brad Johnson, she started the California Community Church. Incase you’re in the neighborhood, it’s in Agoura Hills. Bonus points.
4. She keeps all cards she receives
Write her a letter, then you’re guaranteed that it’ll get a nice place in her home because she keeps everything she receives. Gold star.
5. She’s allergic to bees
It’s so bad that she carries around an injection incase she gets stung by one because she can she’s so allergic, she can die from them. Not that this is an achievement, but it does make her human. Gold star.
6. She is always on time
As a manager she expects people to not waste her time and so she’s never a minute late. Something I can confirm because when Kendall had her Magnum press conference last week in Cannes which I attended, (read about it here) she and her mom were precisely on time when an event started in the evening. This is unique in Hollywood. Gold star.
7. Cleaning out closets is her form of relaxation
What a glass of white wine is to me, is what cleaning out closets is to Kris. It relaxes her when she’s had a busy day. Clear head, clean closet. Can’t think of a reason this wouldn’t be a good thing. Gold stars.
