9 BEAUTY HACKS TO GET YOU THROUGH THE SUMMER

Summer can mix up your regular beauty rituals. You’ve already had to minimize your beauty stash because most of it doesn’t fit into your makeup bag. The result? Fluffy hair, dry skin and razors you might as well throw out after a week. The solution? Well, here are a couple of beauty hacks to avoid any possible beauty mishaps this summer.

1. Sticky do

Only wear your hair up in a bun or a braid to battle the heat? Not necessary. If you use a deodorant (roller) on your back, then your hair will no longer stick to it because you’ll be completely sweat proof. Added bonus: you’ll smell good too.

2. The coldest Aftersun

Using Aftersun is even nicer when it’s cold. Fill up an ice cube tray in the morning with aftersun and leave them it in the freezer for the rest of the day. If you head back home looking like a lobster, your skin is going to need this. Your aftersun has never been this cold and you’ll realize how quickly it hydrates your skin. Exactly what it needs.

3. A longer life for the razor

Your never meant to store your razors in the shower. Yes, it’s easy, but if you want it to last longer, store it in a small tray filled with olive oil. It’ll make it ultra soft and guarantee a longer life. Oh, and it’ll make your legs even smoother.

4. Nail polish in the fridge

Best way to avoid it becoming a syrup like substance by keeping it in the fridge.

5. A potato for smooth feet

Want smooth feet before you slide them into your sandals? Take half a slice of a potato with a tiny bit of sea salt and start scrubbing. You’ll get rid of any callus and you’ll never have an excuse not to have perfectly pedicured feet ever again.

6. Buh-bye sweat stains

Summer means sweating. No way around it. To get those sweat stains out of your clothes it’s best to work with lime juice before you throw it into your laundry machine. #tipfromgrandma

7. Dry your hair with a t-shirt

Summer also calls for uncontrollable hair. Yes, we all like the beachy wave look, but if you’ve washed your hair, used a mask and within seconds of heading out the door it transforms into a birds nest, you won’t be too thrilled. Try wrapping your hair in a t-shirt instead of a towel after you’ve showered. Towels always take the moist out of your hair, and that’s exactly what your hair needs.

8. Stop blisters

Blisters on your feet after walking up and down the boulevard? It sounds painful but spray some deodorant on the areas of your feet that cause friction and blisters are less likely to occur.

9. Protect your hair

Protect your hair which has been drenched in sea water or chlorine from a pool by rinsing it under the shower before you let it dry.
