A BAD CASE OF THE MONDAY’S? NOT ANYMORE
Monday’s always require a bit more time to ease into. Well perhaps not for everyone, but I definitely always feel this way. The first half of the day my mind is still lost somewhere in the weekend (and how great it was) and bam, then comes that 4PM slump. A shame really, because a new week should be something fun. New week: new rounds, new goals – so to speak. Especially if you spent your weekend downing one too many drinks and ordering way too many desserts. No matter what way you turn it, Monday’s will always be the start of a new week, and to make that day more fun, I’ve got a couple of tips for you so you know what you’re supposed to do this time, next week.
- Start your day off working out. Doing this any day of the week (doesn’t have to be every day) is already the best way to give yourself a boost in the right direction. Especially on a Monday. Plan to workout with a friend, then you’ll be less likely to cancel.
- Treat yourself to a smoothie. Don’t make one at home, but go somewhere to buy one. You’re bound to come across a juice bar somewhere on your way to work. Now you’ll not only start off your week healthy, but you’ll have someone to do it for you.
- Try not to schedule in that shit chore you still need to take care of on a Monday. Plan it for a Tuesday instead.
- Be kind to yourself. Make your work space comfortable and cozy, grab a cup of tea or coffee, turn on some music (if it’s allowed at your office) and you’re good to go.
- Pull on a fun outfit. It’ll make you feel even better about yourself, plus, you’ll probably get compliments too. And who doesn’t enjoy getting compliments?
- Plan something fun with your friends in the evening. Before you know it, the first day of your week will already be over with. It wasn’t all that bad now was it?
