A BVLGARI BRUNCH
One of the best benefits of working in ’this world’? The invites. Every now and then a mail pops up in my inbox with an invite to check out a new collection with a glass of bubbly in hand and a small bite. I’m telling you: there are worse things in life. Especially when Bvlgari invites you to press brunch in a fancy hotel (in this case the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam).
May-Britt was in France with her love so I headed solo to Bvlgari with the intention to score something to eat for breakfast (everyone’s got to eat, right?) and when bags, watches and other jewelry is involved I can’t contain my rapaciousness. I wasn’t too familiar with Bvlgari’s accessories yet, but I was a frequent stalker of their Insta account drooling over all their bags with snake heads, perfumes and scented candles. We’ve got a bottle of Le Gemmes at our office which has been locked up in a safe, that’s how coveting it is.
”I now know what I’m going to be spending my next paycheck on”
To give the rest of the press the real Bvlgari ring experience, we were all given a Candy Ring during the brunch to slide onto our fingers. Bvlgari’s Andrea Pogany spoke about the history of the brand (did you know that this family business was set up in 1884 by the Greek goldsmith Sotirios Voulgaris who emigrated to Rome after a fire in his birth city and Italianized his name?) and showed us the newest musthaves for the upcoming season. I now know what I’m going to be spending my next paycheck on.
And to make sure you know what you’re going to be spending your next paycheck on – sorry not sorry – here are my six favorite accessories from the collection.
