a CUTE NEW JEWELRY BRAND
Sometimes you stumble upon a jewelry brand that’s so gorgeous, you want to have everything they create. A website that falls in this category caught my eye the other day. The jewelry pieces have a nonchalant appearance and look like newly discovered treasures. Nonchalant in a 14-carat gold way, that is. The designer is the Dutch Susan van Vliet who used to study Law. She moved to Milan with her boyfriend and found herself with too much time on her hands. She took on a new hobby and applied to a goldsmith school where she learned all the ins and outs. This resulted in her creating jewelry for herself, which got her friends so excited that they asked her to make something for them as well. It snowballed into a pop up store that everyone was raving about. Her method is that she makes a piece of jewelry she likes and then she wears it for a week. If she’s still excited about it by then, she starts with production of the item. Besides gold, she also uses mini diamonds, opal, coral and small black diamonds. Fox Pomona, I’m sold.
