Quality R&R
Besides it being the busiest time of the year, it’s also the most fun. Most people are holiday bound, others are finishing off loose ends, but for me, it’s a tad bit different. Last Saturday my long, lazy holiday started with a trip to Paris with my man, mom and our kids. The day before we left, we picked up our girls from school, which secretly was a lot of fun because the other moms and I decided 12 o’clock was an appropriate time for a glass of wine while the kids were all eating pancakes. Oh, and before I forget to mention it, I had gotten home at 02:30 that night after a road trip for our Dutch summer magazine for Amayzine.
Anyways, I won’t bore you too much with my schedule, but what I do want to let you know wis that the days are long and the nights are short. Days are very different for my friend who don’t have any kids. Take one of our Amayzine girls for example. Her summer started with a mini-vacay with her father, followed by another mini-vacay with her boy. In between she’d spend her days working for Amayzine, as well as writing her columns for a newspaper, shooting videos and photo shoots all related to the launch of her cook book.
”For types like us (as well as you) there’s a recipe to making yourself still look presentable even on just three hours of sleep”
Luckily she gave us some useful tops to stay energized. It’s not only important to eat right and learn how to plan your time but you also have to give your skin an energy boost.
Or we’ve got our Dutch beauty editor who is just as hyper active as I am and would work until the early mornings to perfect her work. For types like us (as well as you) there’s a recipe to making yourself still look presentable even on just three hours of sleep.
And now I know that you want to know what the secret is? Insert a drum roll please… It’s Lancôme’s Energie de Vie. This line has been designed for busy women like you. And I and thanks to these products, your skin is fed and given an energy boost. Perhaps if we make good use of it, we’ll all return back from our holiday’s a year younger.
