BLONDES DO IT BETTER

That blondes really do have more fun is something I discovered once my hair had been dipped in peroxide. Alright, it might have been something better than peroxide, but whatever it was, it was my first introduction to the phenomenon of becoming a traffic stopper. Seriously. Cars stopped. Men smiled, winked and all the shebang even though I was exactly who I was before. But with blond hair.

Well there’s more news for ‘us blondes’. Apparently ‘we’ are more likely to become CEO’s of companies according to research conducted by the university of British Columbia. 48% of all female CEO’s have blonde hair and 35% of female politicians. Opposed to the 2% of blonde male CEO’s.

Two procent.

The funny thing, the facts don’t entirely go hand in hand with the image. Show someone a photo of a woman with dark hair and one with blonde and then ask them to point out who they think the director is and they’ll point at the dark haired woman.

Blonde women are always perceived to be younger than they are (fine), but that they also are less likely to stick up for themselves. Well it’s fine, let others believe what they want and in the meantime ‘we’ (since I’m a fake blonde) can all be CEO’s. Told you blondes have more fun!
