Can’t get enough of oil
Because this is what it’s good for
I used to avoid this liquid like the plague. I always thought it was too greasy and would make you shiny and sticky. And okay, perhaps I would add a drop of oil on my skin, but I would only do it in the summer to make my hair extremely blonde and my skin very tanned. Now I know better. And now I also know that oils (the good kind, not olive oil from your kitchen counter) can help you obtain the best skin and the best hair you can think of.
Oil for hydration
Obviously oil hydrates your skin like no other. It makes it soft and due to the herbal ingredients, your skin reacts very well to it. Make sure your oil really does contain herbal ingredients, because your skin soaks this up quicker and makes it radiant. If you go for a ‘fake’ oil – like olive oil from your local grocery store which you should use for a salad instead of your skin – it’s all going to get very greasy.
Oil for your hair
This product is great for your hair. When I had just dyed my hair, it felt like hay. I added a couple drops of oil, let it soak in, and my hair was back to its shiny self. And your color? It’s only going to make it shine even more.

Oil for the smoothest legs
It’s up to you what you prefer in this department, but with a bit of oil on your legs, your razor is going to glide smoothly over your legs and chop off all those hairs. The fact that it also hydrates your legs is an extra advantage.
Oil as a body scrub
Mix your oil with a bit of sea salt (hello kitchen cabinet!) and you will have just made your very own body scrub. The sea salt scrub will get rid of all your dead skin cells and the leftover oils will hydrate your skin.
Oil as a primer
A dry oil also works as the perfect base for your makeup. This evidently does mean you’re not supposed to go for a greasy one, that’ll make it all a bit too shiny. So, the answer is: a dry one. This one will hydrate into your skin quickly, it feeds your foundation and powders and will make your skin smoother and give it the ultimate result. If you’re not a fan of this, then opt for a foundation in which oil is one of its key ingredients.
Oil for a bit of shine
Oil shines. Makes perfect sense. So smearing it onto your legs for shinier legs underneath your skirt also makes perfect sense. But it’s best you still go for a dry oil. It’ll definitely shine, but it won’t be sticky.
Oil as medicine
Healthy nails? It starts at your cuticles. If you add a few drops of cuticle oil onto your cuticles every day, you’ll no longer suffer from dry spots around your nails. Cuticle oil includes vitamin E which keeps your nails strong and helps them grow.
