Beauty
CHOCOLAte for the win
Together with avocado, melon and kiwi it’s great for your skin
– This is what you need to eat –
All those pots and tube and jars that you’ve got stored on your bathroom counter might has well be found in your fridge. Sounds cliché, but beauty comes from within, so it’s what you eat that’s important. Safe to say that spending your day snacking on Snickers, chocolate chip cookies and gum isn’t going to give you radiant skin. You know it, I know it. Nope, what you need to do is dive into your fridge (not literally of course, you get the point). It’s a walhalla of vitamins and other nutrients your skin loves. Time to jot these down onto your grocery list!
Avocado
Our love for avocado has become quite clear but we’ve got another fact to add to the list of why you should love it too. Avocado helps hydrate the skin. It repairs skin cells that you might have neglected over the past years. An even better combo: avocado and salmon. The more hydration, the better.
Carrot
Carrots help prevent you from turning into an Oompa Loompa because it helps you maintain a healthy and refreshed color.
Kiwi
Filled with vitamin C which helps you produce collagen. And collagen keeps your skin firm. A kiwi a day makes the wrinkles go away (or so they say!).
“Good excuse for a Bloody Mary”
Melon
Another dandy fruit to help avoid wrinkles. They consist of a lot of water which helps hydrate your skin.
Cucumber
Besides the fact that cucumber slices work as excellent eye masks, they are also perfect hydration canons. They consist of mostly water which helps feed your skin and keep it looking refreshed.
Dark chocolate
Enough of the fruits for now, here’s something that might make you even more excited. Chocolate that consists of at least 70% cocoa will give your skin the antioxidants it needs plus helps you build up a little color. Radiant skin by chocolate. You know you want this.
Tomato
Don’t have any sun tan oils within arms reach? Eat some extra tomatoes. They increase the level of ‘natural’ SPF in your skin which decreases the amount of damage the sun can cause. Good excuse for a Bloody Mary.
Strawberries
Not only will this increase your endorphins, but it’s a vitamin C bomb that’ll give you the most radiant skin you can think of.
