Fashion dilemma of the week

ON THE MENU: A FESTIVAL WEEKENDER

Help! What to pack?

Your clothes are the very last thing you want to be spending an eternity thinking about when you’re going to be spending a weekend in a teeny tiny tent at a festival. Unfortunately you’re not able to drag your entire wardrobe with you and spend an hour in front of the mirror thinking of what to wear so it’s time to get creative. Because the things you tend to worry least about while camping is definitely a little different when it comes to a festival weekender (like Coachella or Lollapalooza for example). Go for dresses, shorts and easy fabrics. As great as some items might be, it’s best you leave the things that wrinkle easily and the everything in light colors at home.

Repeat

Since you have to carry a tent, a sleeping bag and pillows, you don’t have a lot of room for much else, hence the reason it’s (clothing) wise to mix and match. Okay, this might not work for everyone, but incase you survived your first day without any beer stains, then this is a great solution. Think in terms of a dress that you can wear as a skirt the following day (by wearing a t-shirt on top of it for example), swapping clothes with friends, or even wearing things inside out. Ideal, no?

Accessories

Let your accessories do the talking. They don’t take up a lot of room in your bags and they’ll easily spice up any outfit. Small tip: keep them in a small bag to avoid going through your tent like a maniac looking for a necklace of having to wake up a friend + her hangover looking for your lost earring.

Shoes

Leaving your heels at home is a no-brainer. Same goes for anything new you’ve just purchased. Go for sneakers or cool boots that are comfortable but more importantly, are allowed to get dirty.
