Happy & Healthy

Tomorrow is Easter and for a lot of us that means: traveling to visit your parents or your in-laws for an extensive breakfast, lunch or brunch. Kinda similar to Christmas when the whole family is hanging out around the dinner table, although the weather during Easter tends to be a bit better.

So imagine, you’re organizing something Easter related and you need some inspiration for meals to treat your guests to. Or even better, you’ve been invited over to a friends or family’s place for an Easter get-together. Here are some ideas, especially if you’re heading to your in-laws, to surprise the hosts with.

  • Head over to the nearest pastry shop and buy real Easter eggs.
  • Suggest bringing something extra from home for lunch. “I know where to buy the best Easter bread, want me to bring some?”

“If that isn’t money well spent then I don’t know what is.”

  • Buy a massive bouquet of flowers. Preferably a more expensive bouquet rather than the cheap kind you can find at a gas station. Might cost you more, but they’ll last much longer and look way more spectacular.
  • Bring a huge bag of chocolate eggs and hide them throughout the house. Might sound childish, but no matter what age you are, everyone likes a good Easter Egg Hunt. Or am I really the only one? Do it as a surprise. Show some initiative. I would assume that any mother in law would appreciate that.
  • Do you have one or know someone that has a polaroid camera? Bring it along with you! Take photos. Maybe even try to find some cute frames for the photos.
  • Buy pretty table linen. One that’s timeless though, nothing with bold prints because not everyone has the same taste when it comes to prints and designs. And hey, if they like it, they might start using it every year. If that isn’t money well spent, then I don’t know what is.
