HOW TO MAKE YOUR HAIR STAYS IN PLACE AFTER A BLOW-DRY

4 tips for the best hair

Do I have an event or something else fun along those lines jotted down in my agenda, then I always go to my favorite hair salon in Amsterdam (The Building). All they need is fifteen minutes to give me the perfect curl or amazing braid that’ll turn your coupe into a real head-turner. So enter the following problem. Anytime I leave their salon, I’m extremely thrilled, only to wake up the next morning with my hair looking nothing like I did the day before. My couple This. Is. What. I. Want. Every. Day has somewhat disappeared. But luckily, there are ways to avoid it, which doesn’t require having to sleep in the upright position, and you can walk around with the perfect head of hair for two or three more days.

1. High bun

Have they blow dried your hair and given you the perfect head of curls? Wonderful. Such a waste if it were to be gone the next day. Put your hair up in a high bun. Not too tight and keep it fixed with bobby pins. When you’re putting it up, use the twisting technique instead of folding it over, and never secure it with a hair tie because you’ll wake up with a crease in your hair.

2. Braids

Braids have the tendency to fluff a little bit which isn’t too bad because the beachy look is very in. But do you want your hair to stay fixed and with little to no fluff? Go to bed with tights covering your hair. Sounds weird, but it works. Just buy a thin pair (not too tight cause you head still needs to be able to breathe) and cut them so that you’re able to wrap it around your head.

3. Salt pray

The secret: salt spray. It’ll make it look like you have a lot of hair and it’ll make sure it stays fixed. I can’t live without it. When you wake up and you realize the style is a little less than it was the day before, ad some salt spray and shake your hair. It’ll be right back. And with volume. So when you’re at your hair dressers, always ask them to use this, and make sure you’ve always got a bottle in your bag.

4. Cold blow-dry

Most blowdryers allow you to blow-dry with cold air. Cold hair closes your hair cuticles which will help your hair stay in place.
