HOW TO SLEEP WHEN IT’S BOILING OUTSIDE

Tropical temperatures it is. Summer temperatures in Europe can be so deceiving. The one minute you’re walking around in a sweater in July and the next you’re rummaging through your closet looking for your lightest summer dress. But anyways, the heat is currently in full swing which means hanging out till sunset drinking wine and listening to John Mayer. Until we go to bed. WARM! HOT! PFFF! STOP! I HAVE TIPS!

– Keep your curtains closed the entire day. This will keep your room cooler.

– Open up windows that are somewhat across from everyone so that your rooms can air. Unless there’s absolutely no wind. Then it’s best to keep them shut.

– Take a luke warm shower before you go to bed. This will cool down your body’s temperature and help you fall asleep quicker.

– If necessary, put a wet was cloth on your forehead. You loose most of your heat through your head anyway.

– Don’t nap during the day. Pretty straight forward, but you’ll sleep better and quicker in the evening.

– Get rid of your comforter and only sleep underneath a sheet. Check to see if it’s 100% made out of cotton too. This material is the most cool.

– Always keep a glass or bottle of water next to your bed. Remember to stay hydrated because you’re going to be sweating so much due to the heat. And make sure to drink the remainder of water as soon as you wake up.
