After checking out every fashion show from the past fashion week, I’ve made a list of every must have that you’re going to want to have for the summer of ’16. The past few years it’s been all about how you wear something, not the item on it’s own per se. It’s all about the styling. So hereby some items that’ll make you look like the queen of the summer. And how to wear them.

The dress you’re going to want to have this summer is inspired by the slip on dress. Think a bit of romantic lace and preferably in a soft white. Wear it like Givenchy with some laced up boots. Add a leather jacket if you’d like to for that extra bit of edge.

The bomber jacket is once again the bomb. Alessandro Michele, the still pretty new Gucci designer, has turned everything he touches into gold. Just like the satin bomber with Chinese embroidery.

I think everyone has hundreds of Breton stripes hanging in their closets because let’s be honest, we can’t live without them. But since designers wanted to come up with something new for the summer, the beach chair stripe has made its way to the runways. I love it!

Black lace is something we actually see at ever Dolce & Gabbana show. It’s feminine, sexy, with a small wink at the Catholic church. I’ve always had love for lace, as does Clare Waight Keller who designed the most beautiful lace dressed for Chloé.

Prada pulled off a bit of a boarding school look for the summer with matching spencers in the primary colors. Surprisingly worn with striped satin skirts, spencers suddenly turn into must haves. Who would have ever thought..?

We’ve seen this one before, but this summer, this item’s going to be back in action. The overall. I think it’s unbelievably sexy when it’s paired with killer heeled sandals. And it’s such an easy piece. You hardly have to think about what you need to wear underneath it. So it might not be the easiest piece when you need to make a quick run to the bathroom but hey, it’s something we’ll learn to live with.
