My life in a bag

It’s Tuesday which means it is time to introduce you to a new bag and it’s pretty owner. Today we’ve got our darling Kiki and her Lanvin baby lined up for you.
How many bags do you own?
“I think I’ve got about five that I still use regularly and that I still love. And then I’ve got about ten who haven’t seen the outside of my attic for a while. Poor them.”
What is the story behind this bag?
“I walked into a Dutch store called Shoebaloo and the first thing that caught my eye was this Lanvin beauty. Love at first sight. The bag is quite basic which means you can wear it with practically any outfit. I had been looking for something similar to this for some time and it was the fringes on the side and the quality of the leather that appealed to me. Long story short: It had to come home with me.”
How well do you take care of your bags?
“I could lie and tell you that I put this bag in its dust bag every day and give it a good cleanse every now and then, but it’s far from the truth. I live, my bag lives, it’s that simple. But you won’t spot me going out or at a festival with this bag. I value it too much to do that.”
What about its content?
“Happiness is finding half a bag of gummy bears in the bottom of your purse.” Seriously. The bottom of my bag is always filled with crumbs, nuts or other small treats. Once a week I make sure to dump it all into the trash and then it’s good to go again.”
What do you always carry around?
“Oh man, my bag is always stuffed with too many things that it almost takes away from its beauty. I really need to quit doing this. My agenda, an apple, cigarettes and make up everywhere. This phone junkie can’t live without her cell phone, a charger and lipstick. And I don’t feel chill if I leave my house without a bottle of water.”
What do you think are the most important qualities of a bag?
“You need to be able to easily mix and match your bag, it needs enough room to carry around the shit load of stuff you drag around everyday and it needs to be stylish. A great bag will give you confidence and it will suit you.”
What else do you have on your wish list?
“The Faye Medium Leather Shoulder Bag from Chloé. And obviously a simple black Chanel bag. A big one.”
