Today we’re introducing you to Merrith’s favorite bag which she bought on her ‘I’m in the mood to buy something’-whim. Want to know what she always carries around and which bags are still on her wish list. She’s here to tell us all about it. Ready?
How many bags do you own?
‘Hmm, I’m not entirely sure. I have a couple of favorite that I use often. And I’ve got a bunch of small ones that I bought any time I’, abroad. Bags that I should have gotten rid of a long time ago…’
What’s the story behind this one?
‘I kind of bought this bag on the whim. Just because I was in the mood to buy something new. But I still love it. It’s big enough to fit all of my necessities and it’s one of those bags that works with any outfit. And those are always great purchases, right?’
How well do you take care of your bags?
‘Not as great as I would like to. When I get home, I just dump it somewhere in a corner and leave it there until I leave again.’
What about its content?
‘The content kind of works the same way. I keep everything inside my bag until I need it. Which is kind of annoying to be honest, because it means a bunch of my things are scattered amongst different bags and I tend to be rather chaotic, which means half the time I can’t find anything.’
What do you always carry around with you?
‘Lip balm, hair ties and Tic Tacs. I can’t live without lip balm and I have so many, that you can find it in any bag that I own. Every now and then I make sure to clean out all of my bags because it drives me insane never being able to find anything.’
What do you think are the best qualities of a bag?
‘I like knowing that a bag has a history because of all the places you drag it along too. Cool places abroad for example. And I also believe that bags made out of leather become even nicer once they’ve been worn.’
Which bag can we still find on your wish list?
‘Mulberry’s Lily bag and Saint Laurent’s Sac du Jour. And I’m pretty much obsessed with all of Chanel’s mini bags too. And the big ones. I’m not difficult to please.’
