This beauty belongs to our fashion friend Olcay Gulsen. Olcay is currently one of the worlds coolest fashion designers. Her ST. studio collection makes us extremely greedy and if we could, we’d transport all of it into our own closets. How many bags do you own?
“Pfff, to be honest, I’m not quite sure. I do know that when I buy bags I always try to go for classics. Buying a bag is a big expenditure so I don’t want to buy trend items. The last few years I’ve been more about investing in classics, items that will last much longer and ones I’ll still love in ten years time.”
What’s the story behind this bag?
“This bag was recently released from our ST. studio collection. For The Frame Bag we were inspired by geometric architecture forms. What I love about this bag is its strong form, especially because the rest of the collection focuses on real women with strong characters. We also kept the wishes of females in mind who prefer having designer bags in multiple colors. The Frame Bag has a two-sided character; one is smooth leather and the other is structured leather in different color options. The bag also comes with two different straps, so you can adapt your bag to your look.”
How do you take care of your bags?
“I make sure to take good care of them, but I do drag everything I need along with me…”
What about its content?
“I try to stay practical, but I always end up bringing more than I need.”
What do you always carry around with you?
“I definitely always bring my Samsung S6 Edge phone – I would go crazy without it – my tablet, Grown Alchemist lip products (my current favorite is Watermelon & Vanilla), hand cream from Grown Alchemist Persian Rose & Argan, my perfume (I’m currently using Histoires de Parfums – Édition Rare Fidelis), my daily moisturizer (Pestel & Mortar), I also always have my car keys and there’s always jewelry of some sort that you can find at the bottom of my bag.”
What do you think are the best qualities of a bag?
“It has to be stylish, timeless and fit my look and mood.”
Which bag can we still find on your wish list?
“I’m currently busy with the launch of my new collection so I hardly have any time to shop or even come up with a wish list. However I do have a thing for vintage bags with gemstones at the moment, I buy them all online.”
