NIKE FT OLIVIER ROUSTEING
Nike has teamed up with Olivier Rousteing which is great news. You can recognize the French designer (yeah you know the one, the man behind Balmain) from his use in gold, metallics, extreme femininity, lots of silhouettes, a high bling bling caliber and the idea behind his designs: the shorter, the better. Rihanna is his best friend and the entire Kardashian clan walks around in his gear on a weekly basis. This year’s H&M X Balmain Collection was the best sold H&M collaboration ever.
Everybody loves Olivier.
Instead of being busy with glitter and low cut necks, he’s been busy working with Nike. ‘Sport has always been a part of my life. I started playing football when I a was like 10 or 11 years old. I think my first football game was at 13 when I went to watch Paris Saint Germain at Park de Prince and I was amazed by, obviously, the team and how they push themselves on the field,’ said Olivier who had a lot of fun working on this collection.
It was quite a job for Olivier, because Nike is all about sports so it has to be comfortable which is a whole different ball game than making sexy gala gowns. But he did it. With a lot of black and gold he created a fantastic chic collection. A great combination of sports and glam.
On June 2nd the NikeLab X Olivier Rousteing: Football Nouveau Collection will be available for purchase. But you have to be quick, because anything Olivier touches, literally turns into gold, so this collection is going to be flying over the counter…
