it’s 29 degrees out
What the heck do you wear to the office
If we had been conversing last week and the topic of the weather had come up, I would have said we were dealing with fall weather formerly known as summer. But it finally kicked in guys, here in the Netherlands. And how! We’re trying not to complain, but boy is it hot out. If you’re lucky enough to have a day off, you’re probably getting decked out in your kaftan with slippers on your feet, but when you’re stuck at the office all day? What are you supposed to wear? Well I’ve got the solution. More than one.
1. The official job

Another idea
Another option would be the Bermuda, but a pair that’s almost knee length and a tighter fit. Add a blazer on top and you’ll look nice and crispy. Go for a sleeveless blouse underneath your blazer, it’ll be less hot. And honestly, a pair of shoes that are open on the front side as well as the back are going to make you very happy.
”A wide fitted skirt with a t-shirt on top. Add some Stan Smiths and voilà.”
2. The creative job
This work field can handle a little more than the latter so it’s okay to bare more skin. The perfect getup would be an off shoulder dress which is so very on trend this season. Add some cute espadrilles or sandals and you’re goof to go. I would try and avoid anything that remotely looks like flip-flops. Those are way too casual. Unless they’re from Chanel and you paired them with perfectly manicured feet. Option number two would be a wide fitted skirt with a t-shirt on top. Add some Stan Smiths and voilà. Time to beat the heat.
3. Representative but not too OTT
You don’t work at an advertising agency, but then again you also don’t work at a law firm either. Buy wide shorts that looks like a skirt. This way you can go for a shorter fit without looking tacky. Add a top and perhaps even some short cowboy boots. The boots might be a little warmer than sandals but hey, fashion before comfort right? And it’ll be cold before you know it anyway.
