Orange you glad to see me

Orange beauty inspiration straight off the runway

It’s a color you’re going to be spotting a lot of tomorrow if you happen to be in the Netherlands. But it’s one we’ve also spotted on numerous runways. Orange. So if you happen to be on Dutch soil, here are some ideas to spruce up your look (without having to get decked out in awful orange getups and painting the Dutch flag onto your cheeks – cringe). Time to embrace the royal look.

Orange on the eyes

It kind of sounds like an unfamiliar territory for the color orange; on your eyelids. Orange has a slight red shade, and red usually makes you look like you’re not feeling all too hot. But a light shade of orange, with a bit of pink, is the way to go. Or stick to a coral tone. Blumarine, Altuzarra and Blugirl showed us just how to pull it off on the runway.

Bronzing queen

Royalty always go for a touch of gold. And lucky for us, bronzers always have a touch of orange in them. Ideal. It’s an easy way to add some color to your face, while staying chic.

Nail it

The easiest and most approachable option. But for now it’s best to stick to orange on the nails instead of nail art which you might get sick of a day later. Same rule applies here: orange coral is a great idea. Another added bonus, orange nails make you look tanned.

Orange on the bottom

This one is a little daring: orange underneath your eyes. The rules for this look are; the softer the color, the crazier the look. Might sound odd, but it’s better to go for a bolder shade or else it’ll just look like you opted for the wrong shade of foundation under your eyes.

The colored lip

This one might be a little obvious, but the colored lip always works. It can complete an outfit. Prada and Kenzo already show us how to give our lips an extra dash of royalty, because they opted for the color gold.

Royal coupe

On Kingsday you’ll spot a lot of people walking around with head gear, so why shouldn’t you? The models on the D&G runway all had the coolest accessories on their heads. Apple covered head gear, why not?

Orange is a-okay

Last but certainly not least, here’s a look for the daredevils among us. You’re not only going to give you eyes a bit of color, but you’re going to drag it all the way onto your eyebrows and forehead. Face paint 3.0 according to Max Mara.
