Check out what our girl Bo has been up to this past week in New York!

San Francisco was only just a few days ago as I’m writing this. Arriving home to my bundle of joy was great, but the leisure wasn’t for long because Easter weekend was right around the corner. Before heading out to Long Island, we were invited to a fun party with Louis XIII. The infamous cognac company invited us to sip on their valuable drink in a gigantic TriBeCa house. And yes, it was fun.

Roadtrip! We’re going to go Easter egg hunting on Long Island. Blue wasn’t a huge fan of all the driving though…

On our way there we made a pitstop at the Oheka castle. It’s the castle where The Great Gatsby’s house was based on. Technically, Blue wasn’t allowed inside, but we dragged him in anyway. Recognize the stair case? All that’s missing in this picture is Leo.

Hello Greenpoint! We’re heading to North Fork to be exact, a wine region in New York. The season hasn’t exactly started yet, but despite the bare fields, we stopped by the Bendell Winery. This wine house is currently run by the head of MoMA, thus the labels have turned into real works of art.

We’re spending the weekend at the American Beech. A boutique hotel in the middle of the city and a definite recommendation. The suites recently opened and are so cute! Plus, Blue is allowed to stay here too which is a bonus and he was thrilled with his new home for the weekend.

Our Easter schedule consisted of beach strolls, drinking tea at local beach houses and other than that, absolutely nothing. Through the grape vine, we discovered a hidden beach with an almost endless set of stairs and once you ended up at the bottom, you were welcomed to a oasis of serenity. We walked around and were mesmerized by all the beach houses, we’ve added one to our wish list. Check out how pretty they are!

Happy puppy, happy parents.

After a few days of doing absolutely nothing, we drove back through the Hamptons. We used the ferry to head from Long Island to Shelter Island to end up in the Hamptons. Blue was agitated that he had to get back in the car, but I let him join me in the front seat while he stared out the window annoyed.

Once we arrive in the vacation town of all New Yorkers, the streets were still very calm. We dropped by Sant Ambroeus (yes, they’ve got it here too) and I bumped into Ansel Elgort, his brother and his famous father Arthur Elgort. They loved Blue and while we were talking I was wondering whether or not it would be appropriate to ask them if I could take a photo. I mean, the star from The Fault in Our Stars and one of the most famous fashion photographers! But my fiancé wouldn’t allow it. He thought it was weird. So I fought the urge and waved goodbye to the three men. Luckily Ansel’s brother posted this photo on Instagram, and although we aren’t on the photo, we were there ;-).

There’s an Uber waiting outside for me. For a mere few seconds I felt like a little queen and I headed to a Soap and Glory event in style. In honor of their new line they organized a 90’s event. Even though I am more of a 70’s girl come to think of it. But hey, what does it matter.

Wow, wow, wow! Soap and Glory definitely doesn’t half-ass things. The top floor of the Chelsea Towers (which happens to have an impeccable view) has been completely transformed to a 90’s paradise. The Backstreet Boys blaring through the speakers, the Spice Girls plastered on the walls and they made a small bedroom corner which looked exactly like mine when I was a teenager. And that Leo pillow, I want it!

Everything in this rooms are things you have most definitely owned. If you happen to be from my generation of course.

Oh yeah, and girl power has never gone out of style. Boom! See you next week!
