Curious to know what our girl Bo has been up to in New York this week? Read all about it right here!
Breakfasts in bed. You need a photo obviously, or else it didn’t happen. This was last Saturday and my future hubby took over our Blue duties and let me stay in bed a little bit longer. He went out, bought some fresh croissants and made me a double cappuccino while I stayed in bed staring at my closet door. My closet which has made room for two new wardrobe pieces. Jackets to be exact, gifted to me from Ashley B. One which I plan on wearing on that exact day as soon as I head out the door to Soho. We’ve got a bit of swim wear to shop for, and drop by Joe & The Juice for some fresh juices. And my new jacket kept me nice and warm on this perfect weekend day.
There is a new coffee house which has already been labeled as an ‘it-place’ to go to and it is called CHLOE. It is always jam-packed. Always. So apparently it really is worth the fuss. To be honest, I haven’t been yet but I’ve walked past the place plenty of times since right around the corner are two of my favorite houses in all of New York. One is pink, the other is black. I love the contrast. And since I don’t have a photo of CHLOE, here’s a photo of myself and Blue. Just as good too, right?
You can usually find us hanging out at Bar Pitti’s terrace. Especially in the summer. Sitting outside in the sun on 6th Avenue is so divine and when you add their Italian dishes in the mix, you’ve got even more reasons to hang out here and people watch. You will always find yourself hanging out amongst some of the biggest names in creative business when you’re downing your red wine and eating your pasta. I once sat across from Scott Disick (not that he is technically the creative type, but he’s got a well known name with a raw edge), however today my boy and I are seated inside. Since it’s winter, the terrace is closed, but luckily their truffle pasta always stays on the menu. Well renown in Bar Pitti – and rightfully so. It is heavenly. Even in the winter.
While my own hair is drying in hair rollers, I’ve grabbed my blowdryer to blow-dry Blue’s hair and transform it into a real over the top Tina Turner do. Tonight our little guy has his very first wedding and I’m tagging along has his plus one. Toast (The Fat Jew’s dog with about 300+ K Insta followers) and Finn (another celebrity dog) are tying the knot at The High Line Hotel and I can’t wait to see Toast’s dress in person. Custom made by Marchesa. Sigh… Some really do have it all. Anyway, the entrance was glamorous. All of New York’s high society was here, even The Real Housewives of New York and their reality show camera’s. Plenty of dirty martini’s were going around and signature cocktails and a lot of dogs were walking around with overpriced jewelry on. Blue looks rather natural, but luckily his Tina Turner do is compensating for the lack of puppy bling-bling. People’s Choice, Avenue: all the magazines want to take photos of him and I’m just standing there on the side line as his chaperone. Luckily my boy still wants to cuddle with me after his walk of fame.
I quickly took a photo of two chihuahua’s decked out in glitter standing next to the wedding cake before I find a place to be seated in the crowd. Blue and myself found ourselves at the front of aisle, the lights dim and we start hearing ‘Canon in D Major’ being played out of the speakers. This is the exact moment I realized the hilariousness of all of it. After all the bridesmaids walk down the aisle with their owners, the bride walks in: Toast. In her Marchesa gown, carried by her owner Simon Doonan, Barney’s creative ambassador. After the exchange of vows, the kiss and a huge photo op, the party really starts. Seriously guys. Everything is possible in New York.
Every now and then I meet up with a bunch of Dutch women in New York for dinner. This time round we decided to go to Indochine. This restaurant has been on my list of places to go for months. The interior is extremely cool and the food was equally great. Their French-Vietnamese menu including the best spicy beef salad will have you drooling at just the sight of it.
