Honestly, how many times do you see photos pop by on your Instagram or your Facebook of perfect açai bowls and updates of running schedules and yoga poses? Pretty often, no? Research has concluded that the people that do this the most often are narcissists.

These hashtags aren’t new to us. Ran a round through the park but didn’t post it on social media? Then the question nowadays is: did you actually even really go running?

Perhaps you enjoy healthy meals too. You can regularly be found in the gym. You’re probably really happy with your life, and don’t see the necessity of using any of the above mentioned hashtags with matching photos of you working up a sweat.
According to research conducted in the United Kingdom, people are divided into two groups: the narcissists and the non-narcissits. Brunel University in London checked out 555 participant Facebook profiles and made them fill in a questionnaire about their personalities.
The conclusion? People who scored high on the narcism meter posted a lot of photos of things they achieved in their lives. Including how much they’ve worked out, healthy #fitmeals and selfies in the gym. The people categorized in the other category tend to post more about the people in their lives on their social media channels rather than themselves. Perhaps there should be a healthy midway…
