ROYAL BEAUTY SECRETS

So today seems like the most appropriate day to throw some royal beauty secrets your way. Okay, okay, so it might not be a national holiday in every country, but every now and then we feel like it’s appropriate to throw some Dutch pride your way for Kingsday. And what better way to do it than by showing you how royalty rocked their looks.

Marie Antoinette

Her skin was always radiant, shiny and smooth. It’s as if the words pores and blemishes weren’t a part of her vocabulary. All because of her very own secret recipe because she made her own face mask. The ingredients: two teaspoons of cognac, 1/3 a cup of powdered milk, some egg whites and a drop of lemon juice. Cognac stimulates the blood circulation and reduces your pores. The lactic acid dissolves the tallow and the lemon juice helps get rid of dead skin cells.

Queen Elizabeth I

A long long time ago people would do everything they could to make their skin as pale as possible. Little did they know that Asia was full of these types of products that you could smear onto you face. So what they would do was they would use white lead powder and vinegar were technically the predecessor of foundation.

Queen Victoria

Gloves are obviously very chic (and warm on days that you really need them) but after a while they start to reek. Want to get rid of the scent? Soap them in rose petal oil like Queen Victoria did.

Queen Elizabeth II

A royal color on your lips? Then go for Clarins’ The Balmorol. Queen Elizabeth II had Clarins make her this color in 1952 because she couldn’t find her favorite color anywhere.

Grace Kelly

Hand cream. Addicted.

Kate Middleton

I’m sure this ones got you on the edge of your seat. How does Kate get her smooth and radiant skin? Her secret are drops of rose hip oil. This is going to help you avoid wrinkles and you’ll beauty will be eternal.
