SIMONE and her pink post-its

I wish we would all take the time to be a little more kind to ourselves. Myself included. A little less strict. Spend less time looking at others and more time looking at ourselves in the mirror. Because your thoughts, they play a bigger role on your body than you are aware of. If you’re always negative, then you’ll never change anything about your own physique and things like losing weight won’t work.

Stop with all the negative jabber, whether you say it out loud to a colleague or to yourself in a mirror. Thoughts feed the body, just like food does. Want to achieve success? Be kinder to yourself. I’m not saying you’re never allowed to say that you think your butt looks more round in a certain pair of pants (fat ass sounds so awful). Just be nicer about it. And besides: butt’s are hip anyways.

And hey, those legs of mine, they aren’t all that bad if I may say so myself. .

Emphasize all the things you like most about your body and stick some fun post-its (yehess, love for pink post-its) to your mirror, window, door, fridge, wall or closet. Want to make a bet you’ll spend your days in a happier state of mind? The sun might still be shining now, but as soon as the days get darker and the season changes, you can use a bit of color in your life.

I’m still going to enjoy my bare legs and short skirts while I still can… And hey, those legs of mine, they aren’t all that bad if I may say so myself.
