This is how you do it
The fun thing about my job is that it brings me to a whole bunch of different places. Sometimes I’ll just hop on my bike and cross through the city from PR companies to designers. The disadvantage however: doing this by bike.
Therefore the following question and answer: How do I look stylish in the rain? Oh and stay dry of course. That too.
The Hat
Luckily the hunter hat is currently in fashion and available in a multitude of different shapes, sizes and prices. I would opt for a classic version with a felt edge. It not only looks good, but it’ll keep the rain out of your face and your hair dry.

the jacket
Go for a jacket that has a coating that’ll have the raindrops dripping off of it. A coat made out of wool will only soak up the water and you’ll show up looking like a drenched dog. A look you would rather avoid. There are a ton of cool raincoats out there. Take the brand Rains for example. Their coats are perfect when you have to tread the rain on your bike.

the high boots
Make sure you use protective spray before using them or else they’ll be completely destroyed before you know it. High boots will keep the water out of your shoes so you won’t be walking around with soaked socks. I can hardly think of anything worse. So, high boots, long coat and your body will be covered.

and then there’s the bag
I think it’s wise you give your leather Chanel bag a day off. Hèrmes’s Birkin Bag on the other hand always has special ‘raincoats’ for their bags just incase you do end up getting caught up in the rain. But for us normal folks without a Hèrmes bag, I would advise you get a bag that can easily be closed without being worried that water will leak inside.
