This past weekend your Instagram account was most likely bombarded with photos from Coachella (and if it wasn’t, you might want to reconsider who you’re following on the gram. Or just re-read this again). Now it’s safe to say that Coachella is all but boring and it brings out sides of people they usually save for behind closed doors. Kind of like a playground in which they feel completely comfortable stepping outside of their comfort zone. So when you say Coachella and when you say festival, walking around with a standard bun or a flower garland in your hair just won’t make the cut. Here are ten of the most striking (good and bad) looks we came across this past weekend.

Taylor Swift

Before I start this one off, I just want to throw it out there that I love Taylor Swift and I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve found myself at a hair salon wanting to replicate her exact cut. Same goes for her new look. Platinum blonde. I love it. #bleachella

Imaan Hammam

This is a look sported by a bunch of Coachellers (is that what they’re called?). The dip-dye. Imaan dipped her curly locks into purple dye and my god did it look cool on her.

Hailey Baldwin

Hailey opted for the dip-dye too but she went for a color others might find more surprising. Whereas most people go for a pastel shade, Hailey went for a grey-all-over look. Granny Style 3.0 so to speak, and she sure did know how to rock the look. It was shiny, it shimmered and definitely a keeper if you ask me.

Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa exuded freedom. She suited herself up in a top to toe hippie look; hair included. Long, longer, longest. We know Vanessa to be very daring when it comes to her Coachella outfits, and the bolder the look, the more ‘neutral’ she keeps the rest, but this year she took her hair along for the ride. Braids, feathers, flowers. A true hippie; from top to toe.

Kylie Jenner

This girl sure did bring out the Coachella look in every aspect of the sense. From bright orange hair to a rainbow that started off light pink and ended in green and yellow. A-mazing.

Katy Perry

It’s nothing new that Katy Perry likes to walk around with buns of a tighter variety. And when I say buns, I mean hair buns (get your mind out of the gutter!). This year she opted for two buns, that resembled cotton candy, on either ends of her head.

Brooklyn Beckham

Now that his baby brother has brought out his inner Justin Bieber, Brooklyn couldn’t stay behind. So he opted to add some braids into his coupe to create a dreadlocks effect. A new boy band star has risen.

Alessandra Ambrosio

Okay, so I might have said that a flower garland for in your hair can be a bit too ‘dull’, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t spot them. And when it’s a model as hot as Alessandra rocking one, it’s totally acceptable.

Kendall Jenner

Look, a simple top knot for Coachella is obviously too boring when you’re name is Kendall Jenner. So just like Katy, she went for two; sprinkled some gold glitter on top of it and voilà, an immediate upgrade.

Sarah Hudson

Sarah was another girl who decided to walk around with two buns on her head, but out of all of them, she might have given it the highest upgrade of all. By adding braids. About 380 of them. Talk about a whole new dimension.
