The 7 beauty trends you don’t want to miss this season

FUN, FRISKY AND FRESH

The Fashion Weeks in London, New York, Paris and Milan have given us a major dose of beauty inspiration. Some of them have been present for a while now; think flawless face and beachy look. But every now and then they give us some surprising inspiration and that’s just what we have in store for you today. These trends will surely cheer you up and release your inner edgier look.

Blue eyes are the new rage. Not the eye color itself, but what you add around the edges. At least that’s what the models of Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg and Karen Walker winked at us. And no, they weren’t covered in blue eye shadow; they just showed us a perfect graphic statement with their eyeliner. It’s all about sky blue, which makes every eye look a lot bigger. Trust me, you want this.

It’s as if Kylie Jenner told everyone that bigger lips is the way to go. Let your lips do all the talking. It’s all you really need, actually. Models on the Givenchy, Oscar de la Renta and Victoria Beckham catwalks were sent on stage with a good pair of colored lips. The favorite color being coral red.

Fact: facial glitter isn’t just for the month of December. They work every month of the year. At least, that’s what they told us at Givenchy and Marc Jacobs and we couldn’t be happier. Way to spruce up the dreary months of winter.

Let’s move on to a cute hair trend. It seems complicated, but it’s much easier than it looks. Add some cool ribbons for that festival vibe. Is it summer already?

The French Manicure has been revived at Monique L’huillier, Tibi and Tomé. Cooler than the regular french manicure if you ask me because instead of a white tip, they’re working with a greens, oranges and silvers. Adds that extra dab of color to your outfit in case you’re not much of a daredevil.

Buh bye bad hair days. Spice up that do of yours with cool accessories. Preferably in gold, silver, glitter and glam. In other words, a little bit of everything. Tommy Hilfiger owned this trend, Michael Kors discovered it long ago  and we wouldn’t expect anything less from Oscar de la Renta and Rodarte.

Apparently, it’s all about gloss. All of the models at Opening Ceremony and Marc Jacobs had perfectly polished make up. They all looked very natural, but there was a lot of gloss which made them shine from every angle on the runway. Shimmer, sheer and shine. It’s the look you’re going to want to rock this season.
