HAVING A HARD TIME LOSING WEIGHT? THE BREAKTHROUGH KILO IS YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND
Okay, so I’m just going to rip off the bandaid and throw it out there: my current weight is 81 kilo’s, for 1.74 meters. A year and a half ago I was a well rounded 74 kilo’s and fit into a steady size 38/40, but everything has gone down hill. There are two important reasons for this.
1. The woman in charge of the schedule at my local pool schedules in the most absurd times for recreational swimming.
2. I recently had (okay, it was seven months ago) a baby. And since I had to stick to the no-drinking policy during my pregnancy, I had to find something else to compensate. Makes sense right? So I might have had a teeny tiny bit too much chocolate, slices of cake, pasta’s with cheese, muffins and fried food. Not all at the same time though, come on, what the heck do you think I am, but they did all make there way into my belly real easy.
Long story short: both extremely good reasons, if I may say so myself, that a person can hide behind for a little while (I mean: anyone who can see the pool schedule is able to see how absurd the time slots have been filled in. Swimming at 7 in the morning?? Is that for people who have pulled an all nighter or something? It’s not like there is any other way to make it there that early right?).

But…a week ago I was literally (and figuratively) full. I was incapable of seeing my own goddamn feet while I was in the shower, each week the number on the scale would rise, I was pretty much pressured into buying an entirely new wardrobe because absolutely nothing fit me anymore, felt everything but fit and according to a nutrition site, my BMI (26.8) was way too high. Hence the reason I decided to kickstart my super healthy living. And hold your horses: it’s all going WELL. All thanks to my breakthrough kilo, the one and only kilo that matters in the world of gaining and loosing the weight. The one that’s responsible for your overall vibe. It’s like when you want to go from short to long hair. You have to push through it, but as soon as your hair surpasses your jawline, you know: it’s a tough cookie, but we’re getting there. When I stood on the scale this morning the number that popped up was 79,8 and I’ve even begun to notice my clothes being a bit more comfortable. This has given me a hopeful and positive mindset about my new lifestyle and I am entirely back in the flow: size 38-40, I’m coming for you (again).
To make this all even more fruitful: perhaps you can compare this breakthrough kilo with the famous internal switch. The switch that makes you say ‘no’ to all those lattes, pasta’s, buckets of ice cream and Nutella sandwiches. All because you know what the end result is going to be. Whatever it is: want to bid farewell to a couple of kilos? All I have left to say is: keep on keeping on. The breakthrough kilo is your new best friend.
