THE KARDASHIAN BEAUTY SECRETS
all of Rob Scheppy’s tips lined up for you
I spend so many hours scrolling from one site to the next and every now and then I come across some very interesting beauty posts. So when you come across an interview with Rob Scheppy, the man responsible for the looks of the Kardashian clan, then obviously you’ll find me glued to my screen. Flawless skin, the master of shaping, the perfect trimmed eyebrows and a healthy glow are only some of the things this man magically pulls out of his beauty kit. He was in a rather generous mood and decided to share some of his beauty secrets with the rest of the world.
care
Rob stated that the Jenner’s are his easiest customers. Kendall and Kylie take great care of their skin so he doesn’t have to do too much.
“Kendall and Kylie take really good care of themselves so what I have to do on them, skincare-wise, is really minimal. They’re very glamorous, they get their skin taken care of, they get facials. When I started as a makeup artist, you had to do everything and really pamper clients. But the industry’s changed and people come ready for makeup and they know what they like on their skin.”
prepping products
“”I love a good clay mask, like an old-fashioned one that takes so long to dry. But who has time?”
the brushes
“You need a good blush brush, for sure. Tweezerman’s mimic real hair so it’s ideal. I go back and forth between using a foundation brush and a sponge. I think the brush is nice to apply foundation with, and the sponge is great for blending and making it look seamless. When you’re going around the eyes and nose, a round sponge is ideal for those non-flat surfaces.”
dream clients
The Kardashian-Jenners are dream clients, being so genetically blessed and up to try new looks, according to Rob. “Kendall is a very minimalist kind of girl, but every now and then she likes to go for it and that’s fun.”, but that ‘They’re all stunning’’.
the best make up brands
“I love Eyeko, Charlotte Tilbury, Illasmasqua, Ciate – so many great British brands! Oh, and Jo Malone.’ But he’s still got a soft-spot for some products of years gone by. “I wish Giorgio Armani would bring back the Designer Shaping Cream foundation. Kim got me hooked on it, and now it’s gone! I loved when Versace had a makeup line, too. It was about ten years ago but it was brilliant!”
