These emoji’s get used the most worldwide

Twitter decided to conduct a bit of research to see which symbols get thrown into the social media world the most, and guess what you’ll find sitting on the throw? Insert drumroll please…

The laughing so hard it’s crying emoji. And it’s been comfortably sitting on top of that thrown for a couple of years now. After quickly glancing at my own phone, I realize it’s not entirely unpredictable. Hence the reason I decided I’m going to try and use the Inspector Gadget emoji from now on.

”Come on people, when the heck am I supposed to communicate with a strawberry?”

But alright, back to team Twitter’s research. They took their research a step further and checked out which emoji’s were popular per country. Take Germany for example, they use the ’thumbs up’ the most often whereas the French and Italians send a lot of heart emoji’s. The inhabitants of England and America are happier with depressing emoji’s and use the crying smiley the most.

Then onto my favorite department: the food. Worldwide, the cake get’s used the most frequently (obviously though: for birthdays), followed by my favorite slice of pizza and a strawberry. I never ever use that one though. Come on people, when the heck am I supposed to communicate with a strawberry? Or does the strawberry symbolize sexytime with whipped cream? Probably. Anyways, looks like I’m going to send more strawberries…
