THINGS THAT ARE A LOT MORE FUN IF YOU SPEND A LITTLE MORE money on them

Some things are fine to spend hardly any cash on, but then there are other things in life which are just so much better if you’re willing to spend a little extra. Believe me.

Razor blades

I spent years buying cheap razor blades. The crappy kind that usually consisted of ten that you had to throw quicker than you would have liked. For some reason I always felt as though expensive razors weren’t worth the money, plus, I am the absolute worst when it comes to shaving my legs that it would make American Psycho look like childs’ play. I have the battle scars to prove it. So I decide hey, why not invest in a proper expensive one that would actually shave my hair and not scar my skin. Best. Decision. Ever.

Wine

Around the same time that I refused to spend a lot of money on razor blades (back when I was a broke college student), I would always drink cheap wine from the grocery store. Back then I always figured that if my friends came over to drink, they would come over to get sloppy drunk, so why waste my money on expensive wine? The other day I was at a friends place for dinner when a cheap bottle  was pulled out of the fridge (the kind I used to drown myself in). I took one sip and nearly gagged. Ladies, do yourself a favor and lay off of those 2 euro crap bottles.

Mozzarella

Another thing worth spending more money on. I used to always buy a grocery store’s own brand, which truthfully always resembled a big chunk of plastic. Get your hands on the real deal; buffalo mozzarella. Preferably not one from a grocery store.

Speakers

Invest in good speakers. Take these for example. You won’t regret it.

Suitcase

When you love traveling as much as I do, and you’re lucky enough to do it, then this is a must. You can find suitcases at local markets for under 50 euros, but those things will fall apart before you know it and no one likes seeing all their clothes sprawled out on a conveyer belt. Buy a good one, it’ll last you a lifetime.
