things you can do with lemons
Like make ice cream for example
It’s blooooody hot, so the bottles of water, lemon and mint are overflowing at our office. Talking about lemons, there’s a lot you can do with them. Especially now that the thermometers are beaming, lemons seem fitting. There’s a reason people always say: when life gives you lemons…
– The opinions on this are a little divided amongst the food bloggers, but I think a glass of pure lemon juice in the morning is a great start to your day. It gives you a nice quick boost and I’ve noticed that it’s also good for your digestion.
– Pour some lemon juice into an ice cube tray and put it in your freezer. This will be a nice addition to your water for dinner.
– It’s the best way to achieve the beach blond effect. Drip some lemon juice into your hair and sit out in the sun. Be careful though because the combination of lemon juice and sun and your skin can lead to sunburns.
– One of the chores I hate doing the most is cleaning my shower head, but when you add lemon, it becomes a lot easier.
– You can use it to make lemonade. Put some agave syrup in water, add ice cubes and you’re good to go. Perhaps add a couple of lemon slices, some mint, a cool straw and you’ve got the ultimate summer drink.
– And finally, be like May-Britt and buy this clutch…
– No wait, this is the last one: MAKE LEMON ICE CREAM. This is how:
What you need :
150 ml lemon juice
3 tablespoons of honey
350 ml water
How to make it:
Wash the lemons thoroughly, grate off the peel and then squeeze out the juice. Put the zest (from the peel) in a pan with water and the honey. Let it cook for about 3 minutes and then let it cool off completely. Pour the lemon juice into it and mix it. Then pour all of it into a plastic bowl and leave it in the freezer for at least 4 hours. Or you can use your ice cream machine. As soon as you take it out of the freezer, put it into your blender and then divide it into ice cream bowls.
