A silky and smooth start to the new year

3 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT WAXING

Okay, not necessarily the first thing you think of at the start of the new year but hey, it’s a topic we need to cover none the less so I figured, why not bring it up when everyone’s got a clear head for the new year. Tips and tricks should always be more than welcome. The most common resolution made is working on obtaining a fit body, but keep in mind, there are other important factors to make sure you look good. So I’ve listed three things for you that are going to help you avoid all those red spots and awkward parts of your body you forgot to shave. This’ll help make the process much more pleasant.

well prepped

Sounds a little easy since there is a reason you’re heading to go get waxed. But make note of this: the smoother you want to be, the better you need to prep. Scrubbing is the word you’re looking for. It’ll ease your skin, get rid of any dead skin cells and all your hair follicles will be more open making it easier to get rid of the hairs.

Don’t Shave

Another one of those things that may be hard to avoid but please don’t do it. Even if you’ve spotted quite a few peaks, avoid the knife. It’s going to be tough the first couple of times and it’ll take some time getting used to not always getting rid of everything right away, but trust me on this, you’ll be fine. You won’t end up with an unwanted bush. When you get waxed, it’s important that your hairs have a certain length. That way your legs will be smooth for about six weeks. The shorter the hairs, the quicker they’ll be back. The golden rule for the best result is that they have to be about a centimeter long.

The right time

Always pick the right time to get it done. It might be useful not to plan it around ‘your time of the month’ because your skin will be more sensitive. And don’t plan it on the day that you have a date, do it before hand. Same goes for a cool event. Checking your agenda is not an unnecessary luxury.
