WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED? SUDDENLY ALL THE MODELS ARE decked out in FUR
The standard model uniform used to always be a vale pair of jeans (preferably one from Rag & Bone or Acne), chelsea boots (cause they’re easy to walk in from one casting to another and it’s not like they need extra height anyway), a white t-shirt and a leather motor jacket.
For some reason this season, it seems as though all, well not all but a lot of models have dragged their fur coats out of the closet.
Given the current temperatures in New York, wanting to bundle up in something warm isn’t a crazy idea (the temps are in the negatives and so it’s freezing) and fur is currently in fashion, but wearing it is not always appreciated. Nowadays faux fur looks almost identical to the real thing that even a devoted PETA member has a hard time setting them apart that there still is a chance you might get a bucket of paint thrown your way. And if that happens, well then you might not leave a very good impression at your next casting…
