in a slump? do this
The clock hasn’t reach four just yet, but it’s almost there and you know exactly what you can expect. A growling stomach, yawning and you’re having a tough time not getting distracted. Sound relatable? This is what we like to refer to as the so cold four o’clock afternoon slump. Well don’t worry, there are a couple ways to snap out of it.
- First of all I would just advise you to go to bed earlier.
- Go outside and walk a block. Even if it’ll only take you three minutes. Just as long as you leave the place where you work. You’ll be energized before you know it.
- Eat something. A banana for example. Or grab yourself a fresh cup of coffee.
- Turn on some pump up music. Or if your colleagues don’t mind, crank up the volume on the radio.
- Chew on some gum.
- Drink water but not out of a bottle that’s close by. Get up out of your seat and walk to a sink. That way you’ll be more active when you do it.
- Breath in and breath out. Stand up. Stretch. And since I’m currently very much in my yoga mode, do the downward facing dog. Slump? Who? What?
