WHY CAMPING IS FUN

By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be nice and nestled in my tent. Because yes: I’M CAMPING. The responses I got “Seriously, you? Camping?” is pretty much what was thrown my way. And to be honest, those kind of comments started to make me worry because truthfully, I really like it. Well, this summer my boy decided to tag me along. But I love it. And here is why:

• One step out of your bed and you are outdoors.
• With a lounge type chair to sit in, a book and something to snack on, you’ll be more than happy. It’s primitive, but it’s an ultimate form of relaxation.
• You can definitely go out for dinner when you’re camping, but it’s romantic and fun sitting by an open fire or barbecue.
• Doing the dishes together has a romantic ring to it.
• You’re up really really early (because of the bloody heat of course), but then you’ve got more of your day to enjoy. It’s always different when you’re staying in a hotel.
• It’s a great way to meet new people.
• Not enjoying where you’re staying? Easy. Pack your bags and look for a new destination. That won’t work if you’ve rented out a place to stay for three weeks.
• You’ll appreciate your home more once you get back.

Alright, fair is fair. I wrote this before I left on my camping holiday so don’t worry, there will definitely be a post-camping trip post up shortly.
