WHY IT’S A GOOD IDEA TO BINGE WATCH THIS VLOGGER ALL DAY

As of yet, there are very few vloggers I actually like. Most of the channels I only watch out of malicious pleasure because they are so embarrassingly bad that I can’t contain my witty remarks. Very childish, I know, but let me be. Generally, I find it extremely uninteresting to see what someone has been up to every week. I know what you’re thinking, “then don’t do it”, so I don’t. I hardly watch them. I just don’t care.

That was until I came across Casey Neistat. Casey is an American film maker from New York and lives in TriBeCa with his wife Candice and baby Francine. His studio is in SoHo on Broadway, and he always experiences the coolest shit. Which he then documents in his daily vlogs. That’s right, a vlog for every day. He launched an app a while back (Beme, sort of a cross between Snapchat and Periscope), he makes films and commercials for big brands, produces Karlie Kloss’ vlogs, hangs out with his wife and kid and uploads his own work in the evening. So he hardly ever sleeps. Devoted to his company. “I’m truly doing what I love” and all those sorts of one liners.

But whatever it may be, I love his vlogs. As I am writing this, vlog number 336 just came online and last weekend I watched 125 of his vlogs in just one day. In a row. Full on binge watching. Hopefully I can catch up on all the rest this weekend, so that I, along with almost two million (!) of his subscribers can watch a new addictive video every day.

Look, Casey is definitely ahead of the gang of ‘regular’ vloggers because he is a professional film maker and is very handy when it comes to putting together a video. But besides that, he know exactly how to show things, instead of continuously talking. So many vloggers love having endless monologues for their cameras about what they’ve been doing the entire day, but never show it. Casey just tags you along every day and we see all his daily highlights in 8 minutes. He also has a few regular segments like “Mail time” in which he shows his bizarre amount of fantail, and there is “Ask me anything” in which he answers questions that have been sent to him on Twitter.

He was allowed to vlog at the MET Gala, happens to be one of Karlie Kloss’ BFF’s and has the cutest baby on the planet. He personally might not be the most dapper man in town, but something about him is very appealing. Long story short, Casey is wonderful. Check his account here and clear your schedule to watch him.
