Viral op TikTok: deze witte foundationstick
De meest gegoogelde foundation van een paar jaar geleden was by far de Meroda foundation, je weet wel, die witte foundation die zich aanpast aan je huid zodra je ’m blendt. Maar wat nu viral gaat op TikTok zijn witte foundationsticks, in zes verschillende tinten. Nou ja, “wit”: eenmaal aangebracht op de huid veranderen ook deze sticks naar de kleur van je eigen teint. De nieuwste hype? De ELROEL Blanc Cover Cream Stick, compleet met ingebouwd kwastje, skincare-ingrediënten én een finish die tot vijftig uur lang blijft zitten.
Hoe werkt het?
De stick start als een superzachte, witachtige crème. Zodra je ’m aanbrengt en blendt met de ingebouwde make-upbrush, knappen er microscopische collageencapsules open. Die geven pigment af dat zich aanpast aan je huidtint. Geen los kwastje of beautyblender nodig: de stick heeft aan de andere kant een kwast met fijne haren die je foundation egaal aanbrengt. Wat deze stick bijzonder maakt, is dat die hele kleine capsules meestal water nodig hebben om goed te kunnen breken op de huid, maar in een stick zit bijna geen water – juist wax om de stick een stick te maken. Dit maakt de stick bijzonder en echt anders dan andere.
Skincare in je foundation
Dit is niet zomaar make-up. De formule zit vol verzorgende ingrediënten zoals Volufiline (voor een subtiel liftend effect), Frans collageen voor hydratatie en elasticiteit, en niacinamide en adenosine voor een egalere teint en anti-aging. Volgens ELROEL blijft de glow tot vijftig uur zichtbaar, en de foundation zou bovendien poriën minder zichtbaar maken en niet afgeven. Niet dat er ook maar iemand vijftig uur foundation draagt, denk ik? Maar we kunnen hieruit wel concluderen dat het écht goed blijft zitten, in ieder geval voor een dag en avond.
De tinten
Officieel is de Blanc Cover Cream Stick verkrijgbaar op hun eigen site in drie tinten: Light, Medium en Deep. Toch claimen sommige TikTokkers dat er zes varianten zijn, mogelijk door nieuwe releases of limited editions. Wat ze gemeen hebben: allemaal starten ze wit of grijzig, maar eindigen ze als jouw kleur – of dat is in ieder geval de bedoeling. Over de donkerste tint zijn nog wel wat vragen, want die oogt toch nog steeds te licht. En dat is niet de bedoeling anno 2025, toch?

I’ll be honest, I did not expect this outcome. She pleasantly surprised me. 👀As a product developer, I’ve seen this color changing tech before (not necessarily “adaptive pigments”), but seeing it in a stick format with this shade payoff? Totally unheard of. I was shocked at how well it blended into my skin tone! Now these do go deeper than this tech typically allows, at least from what l’ve seen, but the true test is always real melanated skin.
