NOW THAT'S A DEAL

Every time I discover a new brand that I absolutely love, I can already feel my stomach rumbling: another month of crackers with peanut butter... The result is a glowing credit card and an overflowing wardrobe. With the most beautiful items, that’s for sure. At STIJL Maastricht, I shop for my new items a few times a year. Often from Scandinavian brands. A few of my favorites: Won Hundred, By Marlene Birger, and Tiger of Sweden. But the Dutch brand Dutchess is a fresh discovery.

I love mixing many different materials, so this winter you can picture me in leather combined with chunky knits.

Dutchess uses, among other things, mohair and leather for the new collection. The mint green mohair coat is one of my absolute favorites this winter: it provides an instant upgrade to my outfit. Now I have a huge coat and blazer addiction, so with this new addition, that hunger is temporarily satisfied. I hope.

With the mohair coat, I received a stack of postcards from the A/W13 campaign. They looked more like artworks than images from a campaign. They are now hanging as a piece of art on my wall. I comfort my overheated credit card with this deep investment. And a coat and a piece of art for the price of one. I am happy.
