Hot news from the fashion world: the eccentric American Jeremy Scott is the new creative director of Moschino. That name might not mean much to you right away, but perhaps you know the sneakers he made for Adidas. They are quite popular among the likes of Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora, and they are, uh, rather eye-catching. His designs are always humorous, striking, colorful, and unsuitable for wallflowers. Now, Moschino is also up for a bit of fun, so as far as we’re concerned: perfect match.
Lately, there has been a lot of movement among designers and their fashion houses, and Louis Vuitton is also looking for a new designer now that Marc Jacobs is leaving the drawing board there after 16 years. The rumor mill is buzzing that the former designer of Balenciaga, Nicolas Ghesquière, will be the next man for LV – but official confirmation is still pending. At Moschino, the bubbles can at least be on the table, and we are eagerly looking forward to the first collection from Jeremy’s hand, as it will undoubtedly be a celebration.
