Le Meurice is one of the most beautiful hotels in Paris, located by the Tuileries. The last time I was there, Kanye West was sitting next to me enjoying tea with Mario Testino. Behind me, Grace Coddington was having lunch with a stylist. How happy I was....
THAT DELICIOUS PARIS
The salon of Christophe Robin (the colorist of Kylie Minogue) is located on the first floor (accessible only with a room key so stalkers can't get to you), it looks like a New York apartment with lots of coffee table books, deep gray walls, and a wonderful wooden floor. And while you are being ‘done’, you hear the buzz of that delicious Paris.
IN LOVE WITH THE SHAMPOOS
It is there in that delightful salon where I fell in love with the shampoos and other products of Christophe. Because the salons may not be around the corner (Bordeaux, Paris, and Brussels), the products are available at Skins Cosmetics. As a huge fan, I was invited in August for a treatment in the salon in Brussels. It was the hottest day of the year, but that couldn't spoil my enjoyment, I got to go to the hair heaven of my hero. And received a divine 5-step treatment.
- Huile à la Lavande. Purpose; nourish, moisturize, protect. Can also be applied before going to the beach. Protects against sun and salt.
- Shampooing délicat volume naturel à rose, the most delicious shampoo I have ever used. Just the rose scent alone..
- Scrub Lavant Purifiant au sel marin. Scalp massaging foam scrub.
- Fig mask.
- Colouring masque (I received the soin nuanceur de couleur). Great, for a light effect and to use at home.
TIPS FROM CHRISTOPHE
- Blow-dry your hair very lightly. Keep the hairdryer close to your scalp and move your hair lightly back and forth.
- Occasionally switch the hairdryer to cold air. Really no myth. Your hair becomes fuller and holds its style better.
- Roll curlers in your blow-dried hair, let them cool down and brush it out lightly.
