Hooray it's raining!
Yesterday, as you probably noticed, eight buckets of water per square meter fell from the sky. So I was very happy with my newest fashion find. In Amsterdam, you simply can't count the rainy months on one hand. Even if the day starts sunny and you step out in the morning full of good spirits in your beautiful, suede, long coat, it can suddenly happen that you have to bike home in a downpour, where you can throw the coat in the bulky waste.
That's why a good raincoat should not be missing in the Dutch wardrobe. But you also want to look a bit nice and stylish in the rain. And that is now possible, in a raincoat from the beautiful, new brand PIOGG.
Owner Daphne Gerritse came up with the idea when she saw everyone walking in elegant rainwear on the streets of Italy, even when it was pouring. At that moment, she thought that the Dutch rainy street scene could be a bit more stylish.
The name PIOGG comes from the Italian word ‘pioggia’ which means rain.
The jackets are 100% waterproof, nice and warm, and also beautiful to look at. Now that the rainy winter months have begun, a jacket from Piogg is not a luxury. Mine is already hanging on the coat rack!
