Casual meets classic. A trend that I might not have thought of but that I find particularly nice. Find yourself a few nice skirts that drape loosely around the legs (called the tulip skirt), pair it with a slightly fitted, not too wide sweater. The classics among us wear a solid sweater or woolen sweater. If you have a bit more daring, you choose an all american example with a rugby number or a bold logo. Or that amazing deer from Givenchy. It's quite an investment, but all the fashion people take an admiring step aside as you pass. You can also check H&M for a more affordable version that I really like. Mix it all up with ballerinas and your comfy, cool look is a fact.

Stack the bracelets

I witnessed some less successful implementations (for example the man in the elevator who stood next to Jet and me with every toenail polished in a different color, toe rings, a turban and about six pieces of wide bracelets around each wrist) but on a few hipster ladies I liked the abundance of bracelets around each wrist. Especially the wooden bracelets which look a bit old-fashioned (like your mom used to have), but consisting of about four different sizes around every wrist. A nice affordable accessory to instantly update a look.
