- ESTÉE LAUDER - ADVANCED NIGHT REPAIR EYE SERUM INFUSION -
As I write this, I am in serious doubt as to whether I should not put on my sunglasses. And it's not because the sun is shining so brightly in here. My left eye looks like a small lava ball and the top is slightly swollen. According to my dear colleague Michel-Pierre, this is a case of stress. Or fatigue. Or a combination or waddanook. In any case, it cries out for medicine. And then our beauty paradise usually offers a solution. For an honest review, I also ask editor Charlene (a much less serious case than me, just a gorgeous woman of 31 with at most a petite wallop of frequent partying) to also test this serum.
What is it?
May I start with a small request to all luxury cosmetics brands? Could the font on the descriptions on packaging and leaflets be a bit larger please. Women with wrinkles are often slightly older and often nearsighted (I know, doesn't sound very charming but that's just the way it is) and can't possibly read the small print. So I enlisted the help of my charming young colleague Michel-Pierre. He read from Estée's work. Freely translated: the delicate skin around the eyes is affected more than ever by pollution and sun exposure. Therefore, you might just end up looking years older than you are.
What does it promise?
Thanks to an exclusive technology (the chronolux technology but that may not mean much to you, doesn't matter anyway, as long as it works) it fights against puffiness (very fine), wrinkles, fine lines, black circles, dry skin. Everything in short. It promises the eye area radiant, rested and silky smooth keep. Since we are already fans of the Advanced Night repair, we are extremely curious.

Since partying is still one of my biggest hobbies, I am always on the lookout for miracle remedies that can combat my chronic puffiness. So Estée Lauder, bring on your eye serum!
Immediately, I really like the packaging. A pump for perfect dosing. The serum feels good and is absorbed immediately. The skin under my eyes feels soft, hydrated and looks light. Very nice! Of course, a serum needs time, so we will report back in a few weeks.

So I have quite an eye situation at the moment so I am open to a good remedy. It starts off well with a nice little pump that makes sure you apply just enough serum. I rather tend to pump lavishly and that's quite a waste of expensive creams. The serum is immediately absorbed by my skin. I feel it is nourished, and the puffy upper eyelid feels calmer. I will keep using it and come back in a few weeks with a full circle report because of course the effect needs some time. But I am already happy with it. Here's to a younger-than-ever 2014.
