Tried & tested by me and declared by the American beauty magazine Allure as the best beauty breakthrough & smartest innovation of 2013: Wow Root Cover Up. It is a waterproof, temporary touch-up for your roots in the form of a powder and two brushes. Promises to stay put until you wash your hair.
Well, it seems that blonde with a dark root is, for completely unclear reasons, okay or even fashionably acceptable for me, but a dark hairstyle with a gray root falls under a definite No, Don't Do It.Gray is associated with the aging person and we – and I certainly – are not ready for that yet. Running to the hairdresser every two weeks is also not an option. I have been surprised for a long time that no clever person in beautyland has come up with a handy cover-up for the roots. Of course, I have tried everything in the meantime: mascara but that made my hair hard, eyeshadow but that left a strange color on the scalp and made the hair dull, and coloring from a jar creates such a mess in the bathroom.

I was pleasantly surprised when reading the good news in Allure. Unfortunately not yet available in the Netherlands (as far as I know), but easy to order via netaporter.com, where you can now buy beauty products in addition to fashion. Available in shades from platinum blonde to black.
