Casper Reinders, also known as the hospitality guru. I call him an un-be-liev-able nice man who spends half an hour on the phone with me sharing his favorite spots. Apparently, he has time for that as the owner of Jimmy Woo, Chicago Social Club, Lion Noir, Bo Cinq, Rosa’s Cantina, Paul, and Chow. Yes, that’s quite a lot. And he also spends half the year in Ibiza with his wife and child. He doesn’t go to clubs that much. He prefers to visit a nice restaurant, a cool hotel, or a trendy neighborhood in Bangkok, New York, or of course good old Amsterdam.
Favorite City
I am really in love with Bangkok. It’s such an incredibly cool, hip city. Everything you can think of is in that city, and it has a very young vibe. I also love going there for the beaches. In the Metropolitan Hotel you sleep in fantastic luxury for €125 per night. And they have a really cool bar. The Hilton in Bangkok is also really good. It’s located by the river and has the best breakfast in the world. My second favorite city is New York. My parents lived there for thirty years.
A nice restaurant
Outside of my own restaurants, I really enjoy dim sum in Amsterdam. I do that at Oriental Palace on the Oudezijds Voorburgwal. In New York, I really like to go to Baltasar in Soho and I always order the steak tartare.
Favorite shopping street
They also sometimes call me Estelle Gullit. So I shop a lot. Especially clothing and antiques. In the Lower East Side in New York, there are many funky shops where I love to buy my clothes. I dress very simply. I always wear a black T-shirt. Preferably from American Apparel. For my wife, I like to shop at Van Ravenstein. She is in love with the bags from Balenciaga and her Christmas gift has already been bought.
Online shopping
The only place I shop online is www.maharishistore.com. A really cool camouflage brand.
Shoe store
LUUKS on Willemsparkweg for the real funky shoes. I usually buy my sneakers at Baskèt.
Favorite hotel
The Bowery hotelin New York is awesome and Hotel 717 in Amsterdam has seven very nice suites.
Which hotel is still on your GO TO list
Everything from Amandari Group. It costs a fortune but is so incredibly beautiful.
Most beautiful department store
Liberty in London is amazing. I already think the building itself is great. I also get so happy from the beautiful floors and the scent that hangs there.

My wife and son. Absolutely.
